  • 3 Cups Milk
  • ¼ Cup Flour
  • Salt To Taste
  • Pepper To Taste

  • Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium heat. Add the ground sausage and cook, breaking it apart, until browned.
  • Sprinkle in the flour and stir well to coat the sausage, creating the base for your roux. Reduce heat to medium-low.
  • Slowly pour in the milk, stirring and scraping the bottom of the skillet to incorporate all the flavorful bits.
  • Simmer gently, stirring frequently, until the gravy thickens. For a thinner consistency, add extra milk, ¼ cup at a time, until desired texture is reached.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve warm over homemade biscuits, garnish with chives and enjoy!
