- 1.5 Cup Buttermilk
- 3/4 Cup Hot Sauce
- 1.5 Lb Shrimp
- Frying Oil
- 2.5 Cups Flour
- 1 Cup Corn Starch
- 3 Eggs
- 4 Tbsp Nature Seasoning
- 3 Tbsp Cajun Seasoning
- 3 Tbsp Garlic & Herb Seasoning
- 1/4 Cup Honey
- 4 Tbsp Butter
- 1 Lemon
Get Recipe Ingredients
Add some cleaned and de veined shrimp to a mixing bowl. Add in buttermilk, 1/4 Cup hot sauce and eggs. Mix until well incorporated. Cover with wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes to overnight.
For your sauce, to a pan on medium heat add in butter. Once melted add in 1/2 Cup hot sauce, honey and juice of a lemon. Mix well, let cook until all flavors are married together. Remove from heat and set sauce aside to thicken.
In a plastic container, add in flour, corn starch, smoked paprika, garlic and herb seasoning, nature seasoning and Cajun seasoning. Whisk until fully incorporated in flour. Add in marinated shrimp, ensure each piece is fully coated, set on a wired rack.
In a dutch oven or deep fryer, bring oil up to 350 degrees.
Once oil has reached 350, add in shrimp, cook in batches of 4-6. Cook for 3-5 minutes or until golden brown. Once golden brown, remove and place into mixing bowl. Pour over sauce and give shrimp a toss.
