This Southern Peach Cobbler is a staple in my family—destined to be passed down for generations. I took my grandma’s original recipe, added my own twist, and turned it into a masterpiece. Now, every gathering, they count on me to bring it—and it always delivers. If you’re ready for a peach cobbler that can define generations, this is the one.
How To Make Peach Cobbler
Preparing Canned Peaches:
- Preheat oven to 350. Using a mixing bowl, add in sliced canned peaches, cinnamon sugar, nutmeg & corn starch.
- Fold in together ensuring each peach is nicely coated. Adding a little of the preserved peach juice from the can.
Creating Batter For Crust:
- In a food processor, add in 1 Cup of softened salted butter and 1 Cups sugar. Now cream together until sand-like texture is formed.
- Add in flour, eggs & vanilla extract. Give one final mix, taste, adjust and set aside.
- In a large cast iron skillet, add 4 tablespoons salted butter add into oven to melt. This allows for you to create a flavorful base for your crust. Ensuring flavor is throughout the entire dish.
Cooking Peaches:
- In a large nonstick pan on medium low heat, melt 4 tablespoons butter, allow butter to brown.
- Add in peaches, constantly stir and cook for 5-7 minutes. Raise heat to medium, add in lemonade and remaining preserved peach juice. Allow peaches to cook until softened, remove from heat and set aside.
Assembling and Baking Southern Peach Cobbler:
- To your buttered cast iron, add dollops of your prepared batter/crust saving some for top of peaches as well. Get the kids involved, had fun doing this with my grandmother. Add in cooked peaches, finish with dollops of remaining batter. Bake in oven for 50 minutes and broiling for 2 after 50 minutes have elapsed. Remove from oven and rest for 10 minutes and serve.

- Best to store leftover Southern Peach Cobbler in refrigerator, covered for 3-5 days. Can be reheating by using the oven, microwave or air-fryer.
- Oven: Preheat oven to 350, bake for 15 minutes, until cobbler reaches desired warmness.
- Microwave: Using a bowl, warm in microwave in 30 second increments until desired warmness is reached.
- Air-Fryer: Reheat in air-fryer at 350 for 5 minutes until cobbler is thoroughly warmed.

- 1/3 Cup Cinnamon Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Nutmeg
- 1/4 Cup Corn Starch
- 1.5 Cups Salted Butter
- 1 Cups Sugar
- 1 Cups All Purpose Flour
- 1 Eggs
- 4 tbsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 Cup Lemonade
- 2 15.25oz Canned Peaches Sliced
Instructions
Making Peach Cobbler
- Preheat oven to 350
- In a mixing bowl, add canned peaches. Season with cinnamon sugar, nutmeg & corn starch. Fold in until nicely coated. Optional: Can add excess peach juice from the can if you would like; saving some for later.
- For your crust, in a food processor, add in 1cup salted butter & sugar. Cream together, add in flour, eggs & vanilla extract. Give one final mix, taste, adjust and set aside.
- To a cast iron skillet, add in 4Tbsp salted butter and add into oven to melt.
- In a large nonstick pan on medium heat, add in 4Tbsp salted butter. Allow it to melt until it starts to turn brown. Add in your peaches, cook for 5 minutes. Add in your lemonade & the remaining peach juice from the can. Allow that to cook and peaches to soften. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Remove cast iron from the oven. Add dollops of your crust batter to the bottom of the cast iron. Add over your cooked peaches, finish with dollops of your remaining batter.
- Bake in the oven at 350 for 50 minutes and broil for 2. Remove from oven and allow to rest for 10 minutes.
- Serve with your favorite Ice Cream & ENJOY!

Hey Maya! Thanks for catching that, I was suppose to correct that. But crust ingredients should be 1 Cup Sugar, 1 Cup Flour, 4Tbsp Vanilla Extract, 1 Egg & 1 Cup Butter. All other ingredients are correct.
